The Dream Again Foundation, born out of grass roots volunteer efforts in the slums of Kibera, seeks to facilitate rather than dictate, to give a hand up rather than a hand out. Dream Again's vision is to see people in poor communities identifying with their potential rather than their predicament. We envision an empowered Kenya that is ready and able to define its own future. There are many well wishing NGO's that come into communities with "solutions" that have been devised from the outside. The result too often has been failed or short lived projects. By beginning within the community and building off of existing grass roots efforts, Dream Again is positioned to help people who are interested in lifting themselves out of the cycle of poverty. Dream Again is an empowerment effort in every sense of the word.
